Privacy Policy

1. INTRODUCTION
House Call ("we," "us," or "our") operates the House Call mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our App and related services. By using House Call, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information you provide: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and profile photo. When you make a booking, we collect your service address and payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card numbers).
Location information: With your permission, we collect your device's location to show nearby providers and to enable real-time provider tracking during active bookings.
Usage information: We collect information about how you use the App, including bookings made, services viewed, and interactions with providers.
Device information: We collect device identifiers and push notification tokens to send you booking updates and alerts.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Process and fulfill bookings
- Send booking confirmations, status updates, and receipts
- Enable real-time provider tracking
- Process payments securely through Stripe
- Improve and personalize the App experience
- Respond to customer support requests
- Send promotional communications (with your consent)
- Comply with legal obligations
4. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in these circumstances:
- With providers: When you book a service, your name, address, and contact information are shared with your selected provider to fulfill the booking.
- With Stripe: Payment information is processed by Stripe. Please review Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- With Firebase / Google: We use Firebase for push notifications and analytics.
- For legal reasons: We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
5. DATA RETENTION
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the App settings or by contacting us at privacy@joinhousecall.com.
6. YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. You can update your profile information directly in the App. To request full data deletion, contact us at privacy@joinhousecall.com.
7. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS
We send push notifications for booking confirmations, provider status updates, and important account alerts. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
House Call is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
9. SECURITY
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure payment processing via Stripe, and access controls on our servers. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. PROVIDER LICENSE VERIFICATION
House Call checks provider-submitted license numbers against official state licensing databases as part of the onboarding process. Currently, Florida licenses are verified against the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) and the Florida Department of Health databases. As House Call expands to additional states, verification will be extended accordingly.
Important limitations of license verification:
- License verification is performed at the time of onboarding and periodically thereafter. A license that was valid at the time of verification may have since lapsed, been suspended, or revoked.
- Verification confirms only that a license number exists and was active in state records at the time of the check. It does not confirm the Provider's skill, training, experience, or suitability for any particular service.
- Some license types (national certifications, credentials issued outside Florida) cannot be automatically verified and are reviewed manually. Manual review does not guarantee authenticity.
- Database records may contain errors, delays, or omissions beyond our control.
You are responsible for conducting your own due diligence before booking any service. We encourage users to independently verify a Provider's credentials, ask questions before services begin, and exercise their own judgment when selecting a Provider.
11. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
House Call is a technology platform that connects customers with independent beauty and wellness professionals ("Providers"). House Call is not a beauty or wellness service provider, does not employ Providers, and is not responsible or liable in any way for the services performed by any Provider.
All services are rendered by independent contractors who are solely responsible for their own work, conduct, and compliance with applicable laws and licensing requirements.
BY USING HOUSE CALL, YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT:
- House Call makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the quality, safety, accuracy, or outcome of any service
- House Call is not liable for any injury, illness, allergic reaction, property damage, dissatisfaction, or adverse outcome arising from services provided by a Provider
- House Call's license verification process does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, or warranty of any Provider's competence or fitness for purpose
- You are solely responsible for researching and vetting any Provider before allowing them to perform services
- Any dispute regarding service quality, safety, or outcome is solely between you and the Provider
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, House Call's total liability for any claim arising from use of the platform shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific booking giving rise to the claim
If you have a safety concern about a Provider or a service, contact us immediately at support@joinhousecall.com. We take safety reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, sending you a notification through the App.
